The Inaugural Constitution Bee
Date: Sunday February 19, 2012 Time: 2:00 pm
Venue: Forum Hall
Address: Kansas State University Student UnionCity: Manhattan, KS
A reception will follow the Bee immediately afterwards at
the KSU Student Union Court Yard.
This “Bee” was organized for multiple reasons. The first and foremost is to help Kansas Youth to further their education in the school of their choice in the USA, including accredited programs in Vocational/Technical Colleges, Public/Private Colleges & Universities and Trade Schools. The second is to instill love, understanding and knowledge to eligible youth about our Country’s Constitution; as that is the subject of the questions asked in the “Bee”.
Students, who are legal United States citizens and residents of Kansas, Grades 9 thru 12, and in attendance of any accredited public, private, military or home school program, have been encouraged to enter. They can enter/place during each year of attendance in those grades and if determined a winner can receive awards each year. The awards for the school year 2011-2012 are: First Place, $3500; Second Place, $1500; Third Place, $750.
The goal is to hold the “Constitution Bee” annually here in Kansas and to expand the competition throughout the United States with winners in each state. This will take time, money and effort. If you would like to take part in any way, we will be happy to talk with you.
Your RSVP (Reception only) by February 10, 2012 will be appreciated:
